Endo pain
Hi Caroline,
I hope you are feeling okay and recovering well from your operation. It took me almost two months to feel any affect from the zoladex and when the endo pain was gone the side effects kicked in sadly.
I'm sure you know that everyone reacts differently but my doctor said at least 4 weeks for it to start to take affect because of the fundamental hormonal changes it is making to your body.
I hope that helps a little bit, that's just my experience of it anyway.

Thanku for the answer Heather uu hav put my mind @ rest. I've been panicking that it isn going to work and am in pain daily! Aaargh!!! Horrible! So how many injections have u had? R u still on zoladex? I hope ur pain has stopd x
I had to have the full amount of zoladex that you can have so had 6 months of it. All the way through though I did have a hell of a lot of side effects too so just expect lots of weird effects to your body.
Half way through my zoladex i experienced bleeding so i ended up having another lap in June after my initial one in November. Unfortunately for whatever reason the zoladex didn't work at all on me, but my consultant told me that it is almost unheard of for it not to work so don't worry too much.
I still have an issue from having the hormone treatment, my body is still producing too much testosterone and it has left me with quite awful acne which I am having to use something called Dalacin T which is slowly helping.
I also had to go to see a colorectal surgeon today as there are other complications from some of the growths of endo.
I think sometimes my body is just being a pain so don't worry im sure it will all be a lot better for you & I hope it is

I thought the recovery from the lap was awful - worse than I expected so I don envy u having to hav had another one. R u in pain constantly? I am an its a living Hell! Wot r they doing for u now? I hope they trying something! I thought less estrogen was the key to treating Endo. Wud too much. Testosterone affect it too? I am just hoping he zoladex kiks in soon as I rreally need get bak to worl but am finding daily chores impossible let alone ful time work. I wish I had a magic. Wand to banish endometriosis from rhe world cos this is miserable!!!
Hopefully they have given you additional pain relief. Codeine based works for me but we are all different. Beware Codeine painkillers can make you constipated and you need stool softners like Fybogel too. Hope Zoladex starts to work if its endo and not adhesions it should. Obviously speak to your Gp.
Thanku. Yes its endo an not adhesions (at least he didn't mention adhesions) they did suggest adenomyosis tho as. Most of my pain is centred exactly where my womb is and the removed endo was on the left. I hope urs is undrr control? X
