Im starting IVF in about two weeks.
Came of the pill in 2010 to try for a baby. Then came down with all the hurrendous symptoms that my pill was hiding. Had a lap donw and was told i have the worst case the surgeon has ever seen, but he did say that i would need ivf to have a baby.
Im not hopeful as its all over my ovaries so just trying not to get my hopes up too much.
I know there are people who have conceived natirally with Endo, just depends what stage you have and where it is.
Good luck xxx
jess i wish you good luck huni really hope it works for you, sorry to hear you have the worst case of it, i only have mild case so cant imagine what stress and worry you have been through, i hope you habe alot of support behind you, my fingers will be crossed for you please keep me updated, all thoughts are with you xx
After a laparoscopy to drain a 5cm endometrioma in the only ovary I have (was born without left tube or left ovary), they discovered the cyst developed due to endometriosis. Was scared cyst would come back as it caused so much pain was worried that would not be able to have a child of my own, as thought would find it very difficult to conceive at my uterus was extremely retroverted and retroflexed, have one ovary and my fiance's fertility is classed as sub-fertile as we had his fertility checked out after my lap.
After 3 months of Prostap injections, losing 8 lbs from doing yoga once a week, eating healthy and gentle exercise at the gym, along with seeing my acupuncturist once a week and taking pre-natal conception vitamins (both partner and myself) I conceived my 1st in only 7 months after diagnosis of endometriosis, and considering that my periods completely stopped due to Prostap we were only actively 'trying' for 3 months so we conceived in 3rd month of trying. Am now 20 weeks pregnant and had my four-and-a-half month scan two days ago. I am praying that will make it full term as am at risk of pre-term labour and/or baby having inter-uterine growth retardation as I have a smaller than average size uterus.
My fiance and I were trying for a baby for 2 years before my diagnosis and treatment. Feel very blessed for carrying a baby so soon after treatment and diagnosis, and will hopefully have my own baby in my arms in September xx
