Heart palpertations or low iron

Ive been diagnosed with endo and adeo last jan. Been on zoledex 14 months and had 9 months on tiberlone before i got gastrisitis so 3 weeks ago i started half a patch as a few weeks before i was on a whole patch and had migraines everyday for couple days so stopped, was told to cut in half but after 2 weeks i started getting what felt like fast heart rate/palpertations and light headed.I stopped the patch 1 week ago and friday my dr did bloods to check everything

Sugars, hormones, thiroids, iron.

Does anyone else get this.

im still waiting for a date for full hysterectomy, but my dr not sure if i reacting bad to hrt or now its iron

Unfortunately a lot of things can cause palpitations and it could be any of the things you listed

Changes in oestrogen can cause it – I had bad palpitations when starting HRT and then again when stopping HRT, but both times it went away after a few weeks, so I think it’s the irritation caused by the change in level, rather than the actual level that triggers it.

Low iron has caused it for me in the past – at levels just within the normal range

My daughter has had this with low iron and low thyroid – both times her levels were a little into the normal range

I’ve also had it after having had a few too many carbs (developed pre-diabetes after the BSO) but with that it’s only after eating.

Make sure you get the actual levels from your GP. We’ve had trouble with being highly symptomatic for iron deficiency at slightly into the normal range. Doctors vary in their attitudes to ranges.

Also, HbA1c tests are much better at picking up diabetes/pre-diabetes than fasting blood sugar tests.

Ive just had bloods result this morning and ive got low iron so ive gotta start iron tablets
