I have adenomyosis & endometriosis and It's recommended to do pelvic exercises for few reasons but I'm finding that most exercise I try will make my symptoms worse. Any recommendations Please

I had pelvic physio for endometriosis last year. Some exercises the physiotherapist gave me hurt, but some really helped. She sent me links to videos by Dr Bri of Fem Fusion fitness, which I found helped when I followed them. This one was particularly good: youtu.be/R3Rydb1nZU4?si=-ou... you look up Fem Fusion fitness videos though there are lots more, so you can try a few to see if you find one that helps you. 😊

I find that walking helps me, if I’m in pain either body or severe pain in stomach if I keep on my feet and walk it helps. Sitting down makes it worse, as it fells like im sitting on my bits and making it worse x

Hey, what pelvic floor exercises are you doing and who recommended them? I understand that it should be stretch & relax rather than strengthening. Is this what you’re doing? I also think you have to be led by your pain, sometimes just deep breathing and visualisations about your pelvic floor relaxing is needed e.g a closed flower opening.

I'm only under GP after being diagnosed via mri an she sent me the nhs links so I'm only finding out what I can do to help myself through chats like these ,books and any info I can find online. I know nobody with these conditions so I do feel I'm scrabbling around in the dark. Thankyou for your advice

Floor exercise, small movements like yoga, putting the body in a fixed shape for 3 seconds. Balancing on a large fitness ball while watching TV or resting the whole trunk across the ball to do little pushup. Wearing small weights on the wrists all day or on ankles. Just movments in your home. Raising arms above head but just doing on and off all day not . . . huffing and puffing trying to feel rough! Best wishes.

Thankyou I think maybe I'm still trying to do to much. I use to love pilates before I became symptomatic but now it just makes feel awful, pain, sick you know how it goes. So I will try smaller movements ☺️

I have been doing Hypopressives for the past five months and it has helped enormously with my pain. My period pain has been reduced to mild heaviness and while my ‘endo’ pain is still there it has been far more manageable.

I did a 3 month course with a lady called Alice, she has a fantastic YouTube channel.
