New Endo Symptoms

In 2021, aged 20 I was diagnosed with endo. I had a laparoscopy and also the mirena coil was inserted. my period symptoms rapidly improved after the surgery and I finally felt like I had ‘normal periods’. However, since January 2024 I started to get more frequent periods as well as experiencing some of my symptoms coming back. I recently had an MRI and two cysts on my right & left ovary were found.

I have been going through long periods of bleeding both heavy & light including spotting. E.g Feb 2025, I bled for 24 days. This has been like this since June 2024 where my symptoms have got increasingly worse. My doctor said she couldn’t find my coil when she done an examination however, they found that the strings were just inverted. I was told that it was ok to leave my coil however, I decided to get it removed and a new one put in.

My doctor recently prescribed me Progesterone only pill as well as my coil. I have tried the AIP diet which helped with symptoms massively however, I found it very unsustainable and super expensive. I am just wondering how I can help myself. Anything anyone can recommend?! Any help is appreciated.

I think it would be good for you to research the difference between progestin and progesterone. Have a look at Lara Briden's books. She's also got a great website x hope it helps x
