For the past three months I have been experiencing ovary pain. For two consecutive months it was the week during ovulation. A dull pain in my ovaries / pelvis. This went away but this third month, I have experience pain the week before and during my period in the same area and now into my hip/ lower back.
I have been to the doctors and have been for a CLA-125 blood test, am waiting the results and for an ultrasound.
I have always suffered with heavy and painful periods. My gut feeling is it is endo but reading your stories is helping to gain more understandings.
But am just very anxious now just awaiting some results which I hope I do get 😔.
Did anyone else go through anything similar and what happened next? Thank you for reading. Lucy x

Sounds exactly the same as what I get. Have been having this symptom since August 2022. Always the same ovary, always days 20-25ish of my cycle (immediately after ovulation).
It sucks. For me it's most months but not all. The pain ranges between manageable and rolling in the floor but always the exact same place.
Here's my advice:
1) record the pain in a diary/app, the intensity, how it has affected your daily life, how to managed it. This data will become invaluable on your journey.
2) mefanamic acid is the only NSAID that helps me so maybe ask your GP for this? It needs to be taken a day or two before the pain starts (see point 1!)
3) a very hot water bottle/electric pad will be your best friend
4) read the NICE guidelines about endometriosis. Get really familiar with it. Know it inside out. Better than your GP! This is what the entire NHS uses as their guidance on endo care pathway. Know what route you want to take and make it happen by quoting the NICE guidelines back to your care professionals.
5) take a friend/family member to your appointments with you to help advocate for your needs. If you take a second voice with you, they're less likely to try and fob you off.
I suffer all month long with some sort of left ovary pain more intense during ovulating and menstruation some times can be right either together with left or not. My ovarys are healthy but I am prone to endometriomas coming and going apparently
It's such a hard navigation. Not everyone has the same amount/level of pain and I find it so overwhelming 💔 I hope it calms for you I've had on and off pain since 2011 was always told ibs until 2022 it came very intense and hasn't left me since iv had to give up working due to the intensity and side effects of the pain 💛
I get ovary pain most months during ovulation. So painful as ibuprofen/ paracetamol don’t have much affect and it seems to last a few days each time so does stop me doing usual day to day things. Sometimes I feel sick as well but not always. I don’t have much to help though unfortunately. I had surgery back in June for endometriosis and they found and removed an ovarian cyst whilst they were there but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference.
