I’ve been having pain in mostly my right ovary for about 2 weeks now, it was more severe at the start and now just sort of comes and goes along with general womb pain on top. I put this down to coming on my period but now I’ve been off for 6 days and still getting it. Now on top of that I’ve been bloated for 3-4 days, my stomach is like a rock. Ive taken constipation tablets and eating fruit and veggies, I don’t feel constipated as I’ve been to the toilet but still really bloated.
Has anybody experienced this and is it worth a doctors appointment if it continues?
Thanks,
Hannah

Sorry to hear this, I would def go to GP, I would think a scan if your ovary to check if anythi g can be seen.
If theres no cyst or ign of anything else, I would start pushing the endometrosis possibility!
The sooner you start the sooner you hav a chance if treatment if need be. Urgent gyni referrals in our area are 3-4months with an additional 9-12months for surgery treatment if necessary.
I’ve been to the doctors and they’re doing blood tests I said I wanted a scan, which they agreed but also said that it’s not an emergency so can take nearly a year.. just to get a scan! Never had that long a wait for a scan before.
The pain seems to have gone when not on my period but my stomach has now been really hard for over 3 weeks. And just got dismissed really.
It’s so frustrating but I’ve just got to play their silly games and try to keep pushing for answers.
I could be wrong but I'm not aware blood tests will show anything for many gynaecological issues, certainly endo or a cyst.
A non-urgent scan should not be a year. Sounds awful but I would go back in an calmly explain the pain is sever daily and you're getting to the point of not being able to work or it interfering with daily activities. I had a twisted ovary stuck to my womb, cant tell you the agony, and was sent home from a&e with a bladder infection. Had surgery 6 days later privately, she couldn't believe the state I was in.
Dont get exhausted and give up- they would start all over again from scratch and just take forever!
That sounds awful! It’s so frustrating when they won’t listen... And yeah that’s why I did everything to show it wasn’t a bladder infection, constipation, period pain or pregnancy before I went in to the GP. She just didn’t seem to care if I’m honest. My GP surgery has seemed useless so far (only been the a year) but yeah I’m on holiday next week and if no improvement after that I’m going back to a different doctor! Because it’s not right I know that much. My stomach shouldn’t be swollen and hard all day everyday.
Hey, I get this a lot I don’t go to GP anymore because I handle it with laxatives, but it’s it’s been going on for a while I would definitely go to GP. I always have pain with my right overt through the whole month and one of my main symptoms. But constipation after a while can cause problems so I would get their opinion x
I’ve been to the GP now as my stomach has been hard for over 3 weeks everyday it’s just not letting up, no matter what I try. Is just frustrating as they said will take nearly a year to possibly get a scan because it’s ‘not an emergency’ which really p***ed me off haha!
