Aw sorry you feel rubbish! Try walking around your home a bit. That usually helps the gas dissipate.

Be gentle with yourself. You'll probably feel emotional for a week or two. It will take some time for your mind to process what has happened. This is really common. Rest lots and go easy on yourself hun. You'll start feeling better soon x

Woke up this morning and gas pains are minimal gunna do some walking around when I can today see if that gets rid of the rest of it. Thank you I thought I was having a meltdown I’m glad it’s normal x

So glad it's better this morning! You'll probably be a bit up and down over the next few days. Sometimes you feel better, sometimes you feel worse. But it will pass. There are sooo many people on this forum who have felt the exact same way. Apparently even just the anaesthesia can make you feel emotional!x

The trapped wind and shoulder tip pain I think are the worst part of recovery!! And they don’t really prepare you for how miserable it can be. My doctors both times just mentioned it in passing but honestly it was so bad I wish I would have known. I hope yours is getting better by the day! You’re doing right by walking around to get it moving. Mine both times took about 5 days to completely go. Just know it’s absolutely normal! xx

Gentle mobilisation is great, little bits at a time will help move the trapped gas. If someone is handy who can do a gentle foot massage/ rub that helps too ...

the shoulder pain for me started while I was in recovery. Fortunately passed fairly quickly but from what I’ve read I think I got off lightly. The peppermint tea definitely helped me though.

I found loveheart sweets helped and getting someone to rub my back.
