gyno appointment and mri results

so I had my MRI appointment a few weeks ago and have been waiting for a gyno appointment, and Sod’s Law meant I got one for the 21st jan ( quicker then I thought) but we are in Spain for a month starting 12th jan .

Anyway, I rang the appointments clark and she seemed to be a bit flustered about having to change it, and said “the trouble is, I was asked to make the first appointment by the manager “ I wish I questioned her about this, but didn’t.

does anyone know what she could mean?

also during my colonoscopy, ( no results from that yet) they found my bowels stuck together, I get a lot of pain with this, does anyone know if they will do anything about this?

I’m in my late 70s now and relatively pain free. Regarding the colon issue, it depends on the level of adhesion whether they could do anything to reduce it enough to ease the pain. I had extensive adhesions around all my abdominal organs, I lived with the digestive and urinary pain this caused for many years, but eventually I suffered from a number of fistulaes (colon-bladder-vagina) and I had to have a colonostomy to install a stoma. This did relieve the pain but I have had to cope with the problems of a stoma, poo bags and all that stuff since. In the end each decision is personal and depends largely on pain levels, severity of the endometriosis and treatment availability.

Usually prioritising a patient indicates urgency, the clerk could have told you no more it would be unethical. Sounds to me that you ought to regard it as a priority too.

I’d call back and clarify what was meant.

There are things they can do regarding the bowels - I’m sure all will become clear once you see the consultant.

Don’t worry if it all sounds a bit scary at the consultation, I found you often get told the negatives of intervention more than the positives.

When is your new date for? Hopefully, not too long wait.

Good luck with everything 🍀

The new date is on the 11th march, so not too long.
