advice post lap

hi everyone!

I’m just posting for some help/ advice post lap. On 25th Nov 4 weeks ago, I had a lap to take out a endometrioma on my left ovary which was 4cm. It was not a specialist centre. I went in through an and e and luckily was only waiting 6months for surgery. The surgery I’m pleased to say has already greatly reduced my symptoms: less pain, more ability to move and twist less tiredness and no constant feeling of pressure. During my op my surgeon found no other signs of endo apart from left ovary being stuck down but ‘in the right place’.

I got perscribed dionogest but stuck with the mini pill as couldn’t take the side effects. I also asked my gp for a referral to a specialist endo centre as I want a second opinion on whether my endo is more widespread.

I’m finding that although my symptoms are reduced I’m still in pain especially at night. I just wondered if anyone can give advice on how long they took to recover from this type of surgery. And any advice on what I should do from here. I’m still having pain and symptoms but they are better than before. Thanks!
