Hey! I’m 4 weeks post op and since my op my back pain has been worse than before. I had laparoscopy btw with removal of endometriosis tissue and adhesions. I’ve been taking paracetamol, ibuprofen and codeine. Totally is particularly worse and my period tracker app is telling me that I’m at ovulation stage so could it be something to do with cycle timing? I also had a couple of drinks last night and wondering if that has caused inflammation and I need to try an AIP diet (just not ready for it on the approach to Christmas). Anyone experienced lower back pain post laparoscopy before? I’ve had back pain before but it’s never been this bad.

lower back pain
Hey, sorry to hear your suffering. I was excalty the same after my laparoscopy. My back pain is so much worse especially at ovulation and period time. I've now got marks on my back from all the hot water bottles I've use to try and relive the pain and was on Cocodimols and naproxen. My gyno has now prescribed laocaine patches to try and help and physio. So far not really helped much but had MRI 3 weeks ago to see what is going on. I'm 9 months post op so feel your pain.
I would suggest you let your gyno know your suffering . See if maybe another medication can help or investigations
Xx
hey,
Im 10 weeks post op and experiencing back pain nearly constantly. I saw my surgeon this week and he suggested i should be healed and shouldn’t be getting this type of pain.
He’s sending me for an mri and physio and suspects there may be deeper endo that was missed and if the results show more, he’ll send me to a specialist.
Personally id reach out to your consultant’s secretary is you feel something is wrong xx
I was the same my laparoscopy and no painkillers would cut it. There were two things that eliminated that pain longterm (although weren't easy to begin with). I work from home, 8h in front of the laptop - I got myself an exercise ball that I use instead of a desk chair. Sitting on a soft surface makes me move during the day and that prevents back pain (although required a transition period to strengthen back muscles). I also started daily 30 min of yoga. I spend good 5 minutes in child pose every morning. It was very difficult to begin with to stretch those sore muscles for so long, but a year later I went from debilitating pain to some back pain that doesn't require painkillers on the worst days. Hope this helps!
I have a love hate relationship with yoga, I find it so difficult 😅 but maybe I’ll give it a go. The child pose I can 100% do!!
Still bad and have been to the doctors today and given Naproxen. See how this goes…
