Severe pain in lower tummy

Hey 👋🏻

Okay so for 8 years now I have had this reoccurring pain in my lower tummy, it comes on suddenly and leaves me doubled over in pain, (the worst pain I’ve ever felt) it can last from 20minutes to 40 minutes. It makes me extremely hot and on occasions I’ve actually been sick with the pain. This can happen for a few days in a row and then I won’t get it for another couple of months. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and polycyclic ovaries but the doctor don’t think it’s that, however they can’t tell me what it is 😭 had plenty of scans and a laparoscopy. I have had the pain reoccurring nearly every day for two weeks now( longest it’s been) I’m just wondering has anyone else suffered with the same thing and had diagnosis ?

Yes I had treatment about two years ago, I had a laparoscopy 🙂

If it’s two years ago don’t they think it’s possibly returned? Is it GP or gynae that doesn’t think it’s endo? Neither is really going to know for sure. It’s no good saying it isn’t one thing without checking for what it is.

I get pain everyday in abdomen. Endo is in bowel. Have a phone call next week with endo specialist to find out what they want to do.

Keep pushing, as frustrating as it is, you need to know what it is to fix it.

Does your pain leave you doubled up, with hot flushes and being sick ? I’m just curious as I haven’t come across anyone that has the same symptoms

Spoke to the doctor twice this week but getting no where with it

I do feel hot sometimes and nausea, the pain can vary from a mass of pressure feeling to a sort of stabbing or tingling, this is normally after eating or activity such as a bit of cleaning or gardening, hard to describe. I can’t sit upright for long or stand. The pressure starts low and goes to diaphragm. Does this make any sense.

About 18 months ago I was sick, really felt crap, black stools, horrendous pain. GP said to go to A&E as he said could be burst ulcer, never had one. When I was there my period started and I had a UTI. When I told GP he didn’t think anything of it. That was really the start of things going downhill.

If you aren’t under gynaecologist any more just tell GP you want a referral.m to a specialist. One of the GP’s said they can’t help me at primary level anymore. Keep an eye on any referrals as they can get mislaid these days.

Let us know how you get on, hopefully a simple process and doesn’t get complicated 😊

I experience similar pain. Extreme low pelvic cramping moving all the way up to my ribs! Pain is a 10 then the after math of pain takes weeks to recover then my period comes and it starts all over. OB says that there’s a lesion on the bowel attached to the uterus.

What are the plans for treatment? Did they suggest op and/or pain relief?
