Firstly,I have been to the doctors and waiting for blood test results but the doctor is just as baffled as I am.
On Saturday I discovered bruising (looks like rash formation) on my stomach. The dots turned red and raised in the bath and then back to bruise like dots.
I feel uncomfortable in my tummy. Weird internal tenderness type pain/discomfort.
I had my first period since stopping zoladex last week (it's coming to an end now) and it was horrendous so I feel overall like crap. I've had a headache since yesterday morning too. It's not too bad but I know it's there. I had an intravenous iron infusion in August as I bled pretty much permanently on zoladex.
Has anyone experienced weird bruising rash thing on their stomach before?

Hi. Have you had a laparoscopy yet? If so, I have had bruise like rash on my stomach previously, which shows itself more at bath time. My doctor said it’s just the blood vessels that had been damaged during surgery. X
Hi thank you for your response. I've had 2 but my last one was a couple of years ago. Could it still be that? Bloods have all come back normal. My abdomen is really tender x
Hi, I'm not sure but do you use a lot of heat pads/hot water bottles? If so maybe look up erythema ab igne. It's a rash that appears from extended heat use on the skin. It might not be what you're experiencing but it's very common with endo sufferers
hi, I thought about heaheat but this read different to what I have had from using a hot water bottle. It's baffled the GP. The only thing I can think of is maybe burst capillaries due to cramping, could that be a thing? Thank you for ur suggestion though x
Hi I would speak to whoever put you on the zeldax treatment as it could be related... did you finish your hrt or get prescribed an extra packet after to help you get back to normal? Also how long were you taking zoledax and was it the single month dose or 3 month dose?
I'm currently having my 2nd round of zoledax to treat my endo until I can have another surgery.
If you weren't given hrt while on it I would definitely fight for more extensive tests to be done.
I was on zoladex for 6 months. I had the 3-month jab at the beginning of June (the July jab coincided with a holiday) I was told to stop HRT at the end of August. My last option is a hysterectomy as they won't operate for just endo or my fibroid - it grew back, so it prob will again, so I understand that. I am stuck with options as my last surgeon has the sun shining out of their backside and could not miss anything... I believe I have endo in my bowels but no one will listen as they apparently checked (I have issues with their thoroughness as there has been a red flag or two, but not even a private surgeon where I live will say a bad word against them). The only good thing with zoladex for me was that I was practically pain-free. I just bled for the 6 months, it was relentless. Currently, I am still tender and feel pregnant and uncomfortable. I'm hoping it will settle down soon. It is just very weird - the bruising thing. Ive given up with the fight. I have been through hell this year with tests. I hope it all works out for you x
I have experienced something similar. I had tenderness and swelling in my lower stomach, and I even looked pregnant! When I showed the pictures to my consultant, he just said it was widespread and could bleed under the skin. He didn't give me much info and seemed in a rush to fill out an urgent MRI form. I had the MRI last Thursday and am still waiting to hear when my surgery date will be.
This whole process has been a long and frustrating journey. I've been waiting for nearly two years now, and they keep telling me they're sorry for the long waiting list. They say I'm down as urgent, but it doesn't feel like it. I'm shocked and disappointed with the NHS system.
It's a never-ending battle trying to explain to them how much it affects your life in all aspects. You just want to be back to your old self. I've attached a photo for you to see if yours looked similar. Wishing you well and hope you get treated quickly.
