Estrogen pessaries/ irritation

Hi all, I posted last week and this is a follow up really. In brief I'm on Decapeptyl injections. I've just had my 5th. I've had a UTI for the past 3 weeks and I'm now on my third course of Nitrofurantoin. They've given me estrogen pessaries as they think this will help due to vaginal dryness/ irritation. I'd told the GP that I was burning in cervix and vagina, hence the pessaries but they appear to have made matters worse. Everything is more inflamed and stinging!!

Anyone else reacted badly?

They've given me Tibolone but I daren't take it until the UTI/ irritation is better. Part of me wants to stop the injections and have hefty pain killers instead x

Any advice would be great fully received

sorry to hear you’re so uncomfortable, hopefully the UTI clears up. I’m confused why they would give someone with endometriosis estrogen as estrogen feeds endometriosis and makes it angrier. It’s impossible trying to balance everything. I’m 46 and perimenopausal and can’t work out which monster to concentrate on, the perimenopausal symptoms or the endometriosis

I’ve had estrogen pessaries in the past and my GP checked with endo clinic that it was OK for me to have them, without worsening endo, they said yes. I think because small dose and applied locally?

I wonder if there is something in the pessary that is further irritating your vagina though?
