Pain under left ribs

Hi, I have a new pain when I need a bowel movement, it's causing the normal cramping pain but then I'm getting pain just under my left ribs? It's so strange, has anyone else experienced this?

It's worth saying my bowel was adhered to my left pelvic wall but it was exercised and separated in April

I’ve been having this too, was actually going to post about it. I’m starting to wonder if I’ve got Endo on my diaphragm, it’s a sharp pain just under my ribs but right sided for me. Hopefully some will reply with some ideas

Yes I get the same pain too! It's sharp and sore pain every now and then, I was thinking does anyone experience this too 🤔 I am yet to get a proper diagnosis for endo. Thanks for posting,

Hi, I too get this pain on my left hand side. Mine seems to be a dull sharp pain that gradually moves further down. More often than not it "merges" with a lower abdomen pain where I get spotting. I am yet to be diagnosed, but I've always wondered if this is endo IBS or endo of the bowel and get so frustrated with doctors when they say it's two separate issues and have no idea about endo being anywhere else on your body. I hope you get a diagnosis soon.

Hi, can I ask how often you get this pain? I've been getting left sided pain for a long time, I've had endo surgery. But the pain has come back but it's only left sided. Not sure if it's IBS or endo related. I've literally just sent a request in to make a docs appointment.

yes I get this pain too, I get spasms, and it suddenly swells up painfully.

I also have a fixed sigmoid.

I had this pain too. I have always called it my dodgy left side as my leg and hip on that side would constantly be getting injured or be in pain. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Endo in January and had it excised and find that the pain under my ribs on the left is gone, I more so just get pain around the time of the month lower down my abdomen now. My consultant surgeon said that endo plaques had formed around my womb and on my bowel. I think even though the endo is further down in the body, the inflammation it causes can produce pain higher in the abdomen.

I am not completely pain free post surgery but the pain in my left side has definitely subsided and general bowel stuff seems to be better so far.

Hi. Same here but right side. My right flank and below my ribs on My frontage agony at times I've suffered with flank pain for about 3 years now and always told its "muscle pain" but under the rubs is new, i havent noticed a pattern yet, I finally see a specialist next week so I'm hoping they can advise if it's potentially endo growth/plan forward with it
