i had a laparoscopy just over a month ago. I’ve had heavy and painful periods ever since i started my period so after years of arguing with the doctors and bad pain episodes i have finally been diagnosed with endometriosis. Post op i had around 5 days of bleeding and then came on my period 15 days ago. I’m still bleeding 15 days on and feel like i’m losing my mind with being on my period for so long. I’m not in pain nor is this period heavy but i’m not comfortable nor is it fun. I contacted my GP and the Gynae number on my discharge letter. The GP was no help and asked me to find out if this is normal from the hospital. The hospital have told me this is likely to be my body regulating but surely 15 days is just crazy. Has anyone experienced similar or any advice please?

Hi, My first period post lap (also had coil inserted) lasted 12 days. Bleeding did reduce after about 7 days but was still present. From what I've read I think it's normal but if yours is not showing any signs of reducing/ tapering off then I would speak with a health care professional again x
