hi everyone,
i have hemorrhagic cysts, diagnosed by internal ultrasounds by the gp.
Are these what endometriomas are?
Any information would be appreciated 😊

a hemorrhagoc cyst is not endometriomas, the hemorrhagoc type usually goes by itself, they should hopefully book you in for another scan in a few months to see if it has gone or not.
For years I have suffered from endo symptoms and back in September I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. When they did an ultrasound they said I had a hemorrhagic cyst on each ovary. I went for a follow up ultrasound 3 months later and luckily I had an incredible technician who said she thought they were endometriomas, not hemorrhagic cysts. I immediately found a specialist who performed an ultrasound and also believed they were endometriomas . I just had my first excision 3 weeks ago and it’s confirmed they were both endometriomas. Doctors are very quick to call they “hemorrhagic cysts” if they are not well educated on endometriosis.
Side note: my OBGYN continued to tell me the follow up ultrasound was hemorrhagic cysts. She was wrong and also dismissed my endo symptoms over and over again.
My suggestion would be to get a second opinion and have someone else look at the imaging. Good luck to you!!
