going toilet after laparoscopy

Hi everyone!! I had my diagnostic and excision surgery earlier today and they have found and removed endo tissue. I have been home for around 2 hours now and I was wondering if anyone had any issues with going toilet at all straight after?

My bladder feels so full and I have to keep going to the toilet for a wee but every time it’s only a dribble and it is so uncomfortable, almost like a UTI. Did this happen to anyone else and what does everyone suggest to help this?

Thank you girlies 💛💛💛

Your bladder can “go to sleep” after a procedure sometimes - it’s quite common. However, if you are still unable to properly pee, please go to A&E to prevent any issues. It’s likely they will catheterise you to remove the built up urine

Hi! Hope your surgery went okay - this doesn’t sound right at all. I had the same after my surgery but I wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital until I had been for a pee and it was a good amount, not a dribble. I would maybe call the hospital/111/GP to get checked ☺️

for me I was super dehydrated so even though I thought I needed, the bladder scan showed there wasn’t enough urine! It took me a good while to go and going was tricky as well as I was in pain - but once I had gone a couple of times, I couldn’t stop and was up every hour than night for a pee 😂

Hi..They shouldn"t have let you go home if you couldn"t pee properly. I think you should get help ASAP.
