Hip & abdomen problems with endometriosis

I got diagnosed with endometriosis in February 2023 but I've been on a crutch since 2022 with severe hip/abdomen pain that goes across my back and down my leg on the right side. I've been seeing my GP since February 2022 and even after my laparoscopy and diagnosis of endo in Feb 2023 I've not had much support or help other than them sending me to physio and getting the depovera jag that's not helping they also have said I don't need a gynecologist and havnt seen on since my diagnosis.

Can anyone give me any advice on what might help and if anyone else is also experiencing these kind of problems with endo? It's been almost 2 years and all they have done is try different painkillers

Hi, I had this exact same issue a few years ago. I have Endo too. I was prescribed Naproxen by my GP while waiting for a laparoscopy, with mixed success. Was your op in Feb last year when you were diagnosed? X

Hi Yeah it's was and although it's now diagnosed they don't think it's related and I've tried a few different painkillers over the last to years including naproxen and it didn't seem to help

hi, sorry to hear what your going through.

19 years down the line & the only way I got a diagnosis & surgery was because I was taken in by ambulance. Shocking! This seems to be the only way they listen & do something for us.

Next time you’re in severe pain, ring an ambulance. Do not feel guilty or silly for doing so. If you don’t help yourself, no one will x

Hi thank you, yeah it seems even worse in rural areas and I live on an island so they seem very undereducated on the matter too

Hi, I have this exact same pain in my lower back and hips. I have Ehlers-Danloss, so I've always put it down to that and my hypermobility, but my GP suggested that it might be down to endo growing on nerves around my hips, especially as mine worsens in the second half of my cycle. I've not yet had any kind of surgery or an MRI to confirm, so not sure how reliable this suggestion from my GP is. I get similar pains in my shoulders as well, and neither are down to sports injuries or the like. I usually end up just sticking some of those Deep Heat patches on my joints to keep them warm, and using ibuprofen gel as nothing really seems to work for it.
