I'm due to have an operation in 6 days which is costing me a lot but I'm having second thoughts as to whether my pain is actually due to endo.
I have constant pain in my lower back, hips and down my left leg. I also have an audible snapping hip sound with each step I take which is worse on the left. I believe this is called snapping hip syndrome. I'm confused as to what the pain could be as my snapping hip and my endo are both worse on the left.
Could my endo have caused snapping hip? Has anyone got anything similar?
Thanks

I'm pretty much the same as you apart from mine is my right side and right hip - doesn't click every time I walk but does donit quite a lot. I've never really linked them as I hadn't thought of it. Let me know how the op goes and what they tell you about hip please
Please if you see this reply contact me, I've been suffering these same exact symptoms and have wrote this same exact comments/question as yours over and over. I have been doctor to doctor for years and recently found a doctor who agreed with me likely snapping hip. But because I'm an endo sufferer, I too am not sure about going through with the hip surgery only to find out it's caused by endo. I also need to have excision for endo and hope to soon. Please if you see this contact me and tell me what happened so far and maybe we can compare notes. I'm also part of a great endo group that offers so much great info. Best of luck if I don't hear back from you and hope you have been helped. 💛
I get this. It was only in left leg for years but now when I walk at times it clonks and clicks. In right hip. I also have a lot of pain if I have sat down too long. I feel like I have to kind of hobble for a few min's because everything is stiff and painful.
I have deep infultrating endo in the Pouch of douglas. My consultant didn't really confirm or not if it's endo related, but I'be read it can be so who knows!
I totally understand! My gyne thinks I have endo so I have some appointments. I also have hips that click, not all the time but both of my hips sometimes click. I sometimes get lower back ache too, especially when I’ve been standing for long periods of time. It never sprung to mind that this could be linked to endo but I’m going to speak to my gyne about it and see if they could be related.
Following as well as I believe I may have the same thing. I’ve had MRI imaging on my hip and found nothing. 60 sessions for PT with no results. Doc is now saying I may have snapping hip and is at a loss wanting to send me to pain management. - i suspect I have Endo and it runs in my family. My pain is a lot worse during my periods.
I’d really like to hear more findings! I have no clue if this is the same problem or multiple things all adding up.
I also have exactly the same pain and clicking (mainly right side).. my most recent MRI for endo showed deep infiltrating endometriosis in both utersacral ligaments, with it attaching to the bowel on the right side. As well as DIE in between the uterus and bladder.
I’m on the waiting list for surgery with a specialist (first one with gynae wasn’t great). But the pain has just become constant now, affecting my walking, sitting, laying, just everything I do.
I’m sorry you’re all suffering with such similar symptoms.. there must be a link here musn’t there, with the hip snapping and lower back pain?
I hope you’ve found some relieve, this is such an awful disease
