Can recto vaginal endometriosis cause upper abdomen pain?

I had a laparoscopy a few days ago and was convinced they would find diaphragmatic endometriosis but they didn't. They said I have recto vaginal endometriosis and would need a 3 hr operation and will put me on the waiting list. I'm just wondering if the upper abdomen pain could also come from this type of endometriosis. I also get breathless a lot, even just walking up my stairs.

Are you going to have surgery to remove it?

I had surgery to remove it 2 years ago, symptoms came back after 3 months

Oh that's bad it came back so quick. What was the surgery like? Did u need a stoma bag? I'm debating whether to put this op off until late next year but don't know if that's a good move

Yeah it’s awful, surgery was fine though, no stoma bag needed (they didn’t even tell me that was a possibility!) and I was fine after 2/3 weeks post surgery

Breathlessness is a common symptom of diaphragmatic endo.

Please make sure whoever performs the surgery on you is a highly skilled excision surgeon with extensive experience. I'm here if you need help researching your surgeon to make sure he's capable or if you need names

I'm going through the NHS Cardiff heath hospital. I know the one is a endometriosis specialist, so I'm assuming he is capable of doing this ( I hope).
