One post post decapeptyl injection

I've randomly started bleeding I'm one month post injection my pains have been so bad and ramped up this week even more to point I was being sick and now I been to toilet and I'm bleeding not loads but like start of period amount. But I'm confused I have pcos and can't even tell you last time I had a period so why suddenly now? Should I ring gp or just wait till my next app on 8th? I was under understanding it would stop me ovulating ect..?

I have mine today and I've been told to expect a heavy bleed for 2 to 3 weeks. If you read about it or join a Facebook page you'll see that most women respond in this way. Xx

I have pcos so never expected to bleed tbh.... I mean my endo has been really bad from it but didn't think I'd bleed I've not in years. Yeah I'm on some Facebook groups but most have questions about where to get surgery not this sort of thing x

hi I was on decapeptyl this year.

The injection initially causes your ovaries to overreact and therefore a surge in hormones before it settles and they essentially shut down. My initial bleed was horrendous - the clots were huge and I panicked.

If it doesn’t settle within a few days I would contact your GP/consultant for advice.

It’s not very pleasant I have to say but wishing you both the best of luck with the injections.

I’m off them now but hope they work for you ladies 🤞
