Can't use tampons - why?

This is odd really. I've used tampons fir years and really needed them this last 2 years with flooding all the time. However, weirdly my body seems to be rejecting them now. Soon after I put one in, I can feel it coming out and don't seem to be able to get it to sit right anymore. I have stage 4 endo which has obliterated my Pouch of Douglas and pulled my rectum high, but I've always been able to put tampons in. I'm a bit fed up as I'm on my period and flooding so without tampons it makes everything harder. Is this just me? Thanks everyone x

Hey! I’ve never been able to wear tampons. I’m not sure why, I think I have pelvic floor issues or something. I managed to get one in once and it was sooooooo uncomfortable, never again!

For me I get the like ultra Always pads(day and night) and most of the time double up if needed. I always keep toilet wipes on hand in the bathroom, I find that easier to clean up when I’m heavy. I end up changing every 30 - 60 mins though on my first few days of my period, and sometimes I set a timer in the night otherwise I know it will leak when I’m asleep. And I sleep on a towel!

I don’t know what I have yet, my first surgery is actually next Tuesday so maybe I’ll get some answers then!! It was interesting what you said about where your endo is, based on my symptoms I bet money it’s on my rectum, pouch of Douglas and bowel xx

hello I have never used tampons as far too painful for me, always wear a pad, o see you are flooding which is a problem I have, I wear Night pads as they are thicker and longer so they go up your bum a little and catch the blood when it runs on that direction x

I use tampons and pads together for when it's REALLY bad (if you know you know) but I'm just gutted that my rectum seems to be so attached to my cervix that it's pushing tampons downwards. I HAVE to wear huge nappy like pads at work as I teach secondary so can't just nip to the loo when I feel myself flooding. I have to stand there in front of 30, 16 year old whilst my insides feel like they're coming out. It's utter hell. I'm paranoid about smelling of blood. I've had to have adjustments made at work as I cannot do a five lesson day with a duty. It has been so hard. Supposed to be our Christmas party tonight and once again I'm flooding and can't go x I just feel so fed up xxx

Ttalk to your doctor and see what he says about this, but in the mean time use a pad and perios pants. Period pants are so good for catching any blood that gets out and you can wash and change them every day. That might help.
