Have you had any pelvic floor physiotherapy since your surgery?

Hey there. I suffer really bad with pain in my bottom, it terrified me at first, I even asked the Doctor if my bums falling out🙈

For bum pain I really recommend a plug in heat pad. Yes the pain is deep in your bottom but honestly this works a treat and is comfy to sit on, unlike a hot water bottle(tried that 😂) this also helps with vagina pain. You can get one on Amazon for like £16!

Hot baths also help with my bum and vagina pain.

I would recommend going to your GP to discuss pain management. I ended up in A&E last month on my period as I was so bad and got prescribed oramorph and diclofenac. Now oramorph is amazing but it’s an opioid so you can’t take it often.

So I went to my GP and they prescribed naproxen which was ok, but I could combine that with paracetamol etc so it helps.

They can discuss pain management and medication with you, if you’re only taking ibuprofen you can get much stronger stuff so please try that.

A tens machine is also great for pain in your stomach.

Also if you’re getting worse pain, it might be worth a trip back to gynae or your consultant for a further surgery or discuss your other options? Don’t suffer in silence, make sure you get the help you need xx
