Prostrap experiences please. Also returned endo pain after a bowel resection advice

In june this year I had excision surgery for stage 4 endometriosis including a bowel resection. I was pain free for about 2 months then unfortunately it came back in my bowels and flare ups are more frequent. I met with my specialist this week and she wants me to go onto Prostap injections for at least 3 months then potentially do a 6 month course. She didn't explain much about them so I've researched them myself and I'm really anxious about the side effects and even more so after reading other peoples experiences. I'm thinking of asking to discuss alternative options. Any advice from anyone whos been in this position or had Prostap would be so helpful

Hi, I'm due to start zoladex which is the same thing. I have read loads about it and the one consistent thing is EVERYONE responds differently to it. Make sure you get add back HRT as this makes the symptoms less. For some women this treatment is life changing and they stay on it for a long time. For others it's poison and they suffer a lot. I'd say try it. It's reversible if you hate it.

It's crazy how everyone reacts to it differently! I'm really on the fence about it as I'm being made redundant next month and I'm concerned about starting a new job with potential rough side effects. On the other hand I'm also anxious about having flare ups in a new job, I feel I cant really win at the minute but thank you for sharing your experience x
