8 months after surgery and getting pain in left ovary

Hiah I had surgery at the end of Decemver 22. The surgeon found I was stage 3 endo, on my rectum ovaries tubes etc.

I was asked to take another month of the decapeptyl injection while I healed. I then started my period in May 23. Since starting my periods again, they are late each month but this month I've started getting pain on my left side ovary as though it is period cramps but no period. I'm already 5 days late this month. Last month was 16 days.

Could the endo be growing bsck again?

Does anyone else have any info or advice?

Hey, sorry to hear you’re having pain again! Fingers crossed it’s not endo

Based purely on my experience I’d say try to get a referral for a scan. I was experiencing some pain in my right ovary after an endometrioma was excised from it but it turned out it was from a dominant follicle (this is what contains an egg and releases it during ovulation, so it’s a normal thing to have while menstruating) that had failed to release the egg and had grown a bit too big. I was told it would go away on its own. And sure enough the pain has gone but I am having an ultrasound soon to confirm.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious and it’s just something you’re experiencing because they’ve operated on your ovary. Maybe it’s still a bit sensitive especially now that you’re ovulating again.

You should definitely get it checked out.

You'd need to have a scan to be certain of anything. I still experience pain in my left side (from time to time) two years after laparoscopy to remove endometrioma, and in the interim an endometrioma has formed on the right side (but no pain there) and I have developed other issues and symptoms too that I didn't have previously, so definitely get it checked out as thoroughly as possible. Good luck!
