Hi strong women!! Hope you are all doing ok considering.

I had a laroscopy done 3 weeks ago today and had cyst and endo removed. My period pain is quite bad and still getting pains up and down my legs 😭😭 feeling upset, frustrated, pretty peed off really! Thought my periods would be better! I'm going on holiday too in a month and will start my period when I'm traveling and don't want to be in pain like am whilst on a play for 14 hours! Can anyone give me any advice please? Xxxx

My first period after my laparoscopy and endometriosis removal was horrific, at the follow up I told them this but as usual was fobbed off. I am still yet to see any improvement from my surgery (that was in May) I now take my pill back to back for 3 months which doesn’t help much as I still have all the symptoms the week my period would be there, but at least I don’t have to worry about the bleeding and I also know exactly when my worsening symptoms will start so I take my pain killers before it starts and just keep on top of it, I find this can manage it enough for me to function (still in pain but functional pain if that makes sense)

Hope you enjoy your holiday and sorry I couldn’t give you a better answer xxx

I’m sorry to hear that.

My last 2 periods since my third laparoscopy have also been horrific, last one not even morphine eased the pain! Unfortunately I’m trying for a baby so I can’t take the pill etc. Hopefully, it is just things healing as from what I’ve read can take a few months to heal internally. 🤞🏻 xoxo

Hey, my first period was the same as they used to be before my lap. Painful! It’s normal to have a few periods afterwards to be bad as the organs are still healing which takes longer than external wounds.

I had a cyst and endo removed as well xx

Thank you for the replies I really appreciate it! I don't mean to go in to grusome details but I'm extremely heavy I'm having change every 2 hours! There is just blood when I wee and there is a lot of tiny clots is this normal? Is it just my womb trying to heal I'm panicking a bit? Sorry guys 😢 xxx

That’s exactly what mine was like, I think it’s normal. I actually flooded through my clothes 😩 and I also had lots of little clots. All part of the internal healing process.

Here’s hoping for better days for us all xxx
