I have stage 4 endo which is also in my bowels, possibly also my kidneys. I had lap surgery 3-months ago to drain two large masses and have been told I need a hysterectomy plus bowel surgery as it has all stuck together. My local CCG waiting list for a consultation with the general surgeon is 62-weeks. I am trying to expedite it but with the strikes I could still be waiting up to 6-months.
I have been offered zoladex to stop the tissue growth. Does anyone have any positive feedback on this drug? I can only see negatives and wondered if anyone has noticed a good difference since using it.
Thanks!

For me, zoladex was wonderful! I felt 'normal' for the first time in ages when I started the injections, no pain, no periods, a few hot flushes at start which disappeared when I started tibolone (HRT) along side it. My mood was also improved. I could have sex without pain. I know some people have a negative experience, but until you try you won't know. If you start with the monthly injections then you can always stop treatment if you don't get on with it.
Hi, I’ve just stopped Zoladex injections after 9 months, got them every three months. I’m getting my surgery in three weeks. I can only tell you how I felt on them and honestly I wasn’t up nor down. I was put on Tibolone initially and then stopped taking that in April as I didn’t have any side effects. It has really helped me the past while with the pain and as I said I’ve not had any negative side effects. Now I have stopped I need to go back to taking painkillers but hopefully only for the next few weeks. I was very anxious about going on the injections as I had read a lot of negative things about them, everyone is different and I really hope that you are one of the lucky ones too.xx
