Hello Hopeful112, I haven't seen Mr Khazali, but I had private surgery in 2020 with a colleague of his called Mr Minas (they use to work together at St Peter's in Chertsey in CEMIG before he left the NHS) & he was amazing! So if Mr Khazali is anything like him you will be in great hands. They are so knowledgeable & empathetic. Good luck x

Thank you for your message Hoopy587 🌹if you dont mind me asking.. How are you endo wise since the op? I am looking into excision surgery but very scared due to POD and bowel involvement.

You're welcome 💛 So I had a very thorough surgery in 2020 & had endo removed from so many places including POD, bowel & bladder, & I lost an ovary & tube as they were so badly diseased. I was left with a small amount of endo on my diaphragm but felt really well after the op & for a few years. However for me this is the quickest it's returned after surgery (as I've had about 7) & I'm now waiting for a hysterectomy as I just cannot keep having surgeries or living in pain.

Having surgery is always a daunting experience, but personally for me it's has been a good option as I've always felt so much better once the endo get's removed & I've recovered.

I am sorry to hear about the hysterectomy but you are right you cannot live with being in pain all the time. It is such a horrid disease. 😔If you don't mind me asking how long where you pain free after the exicision x

Thank-you. Me too, but I think it will be the best option for me. It's a really awful disease & I wouldn't wish it on anyone! After my previous surgeries (some which were excision, some were just ablation) I would usually get about 5-7 years from my surgery, but only got about 2-years after my last one sadly, but Mr Minas did an amazing job! x

Hi there, I have had excision surgery with Mr Khazali and he was brilliant, really thorough and his nursing team were amazing - in touch with me every day after surgery until I was fully on the mend - had no idea I would get such support.

Did you see Dr Khazali when he was NHS or did you see him privately? X

Hello, yes he was really thorough, cleared everything he could and my endo symptoms have been a lot better since the op. I saw his nutritionist as well and she has also helped hugely to recommend the best diet for endo.
