Decapeptyl and Tibolone

Have been lurking for a while my story is as follows, At 44 and having suffered with what I thought was normal heavy periods and pain both stomach and back, I have been on a bit of a journey in the last couple of years, in 2021 had a polyp removed but in investigations they discovered a likely endometrioma along with 4 other cysts (which explained a lot), after much waiting and being buffetted around the system and lots of chasing got an mri and a follow up with an endo specialist team, told at the appointment the MRI was ok to get the follow up letter telling me I had endometrioma, bulky left ovary slightly bulky uterus and possible adhesion to sigmoid colon and what looks to be a fibroid, and am on the list for staging lap and then onto hysterectomy (at my request), about to start Decapeptyl injection on Monday with tibolone, my query is what time of day have people found works best for tibolone morning or night?

Hi Sara, it’s a long process isn’t it. I have Decapetyl injections every month with my doctor always in the morning. No Tibolone though so I cannot help with that. They did prescribe me HRT patches after the first month as I experienced very bad headaches / side effect of the injection. Hope you get your appointments through soon. My specialist said that he would only prescribe the Decapetyl for 6-8 months before my hysterectomy. Fingers crossed. Take care.

Thanks for replying, I’ve got my injection Monday late afternoon so think will prob try adding the tibolone from Tuesday morning and see, I was given a waiver letter for continuing treatment past six months so not 100% hopeful that I’ll be moving further forward anytime soon good luck with your journey x
