I had my first decapeptyl injection nearly 2 weeks ago (start of a 6 month course) and have been taking tibolone daily alongside it for severe endometriosis. I have had 2 surgeries before and have had my right tube removed. I am having the worst and heaviest period at the moment and a really bad regular contraction pain through my lower abdomen and through to my rectum. Has anyone else experienced this? I cant even breathe through it and it makes me feel really faint.
My other side effects have just been mood swings and fatigue.
I'm just amazed at the amount of symptoms within the first 2 weeks and I just want someone to tell me its normal and they had the same experience, especially with the cramping as thats what I'm having the hardest time with.
Any input will help. Thank you!

I had my first one 10 days ago when I had another lap. Not started hrt yet. No cramps so far but some very minor bleeding. However the crippling bouts of anxiety and panic are awful, so scary x
Tysm for replying! Looks like we are on a very similar journey! What HRT are your going to be taking and when do you start? They gave me my injection a couple of days before I was due on my periods and I didnt come on till a week later. Hopefully this will be the last one and its like a "clear out".
I havent noticed any anxiety yet, did wake up sweaty with a wet t-shirt last night though, nothing major and managed to fall straight back to sleep.
Maybe my cramps will disappear once my period finishes. Just never had anything like it before. So sharp.
I'm not sure what my hrt will be but they mentioned gel. I also still have the mirena. I hope your symptoms ease soon, let's hope the rest of our journey isn't too bad x
Hi hope your well, really sorry that your going through this at the moment.
I can completely sympathise with you! because I have also had a really hard and horrible journey on these injections aswell!
I recently had my 4th injection and this is the first time I have noticed a difference within my pains!
Whilst on these, I have experienced really bad similar pain within my rectum radiating everywhere and been so light headed because of it to the extent that I began being sick, so I was certain I have got bowel endometriosis due to the difference in my motions and everything.
I was also really amazed as within the first week I started experiencing all sorts from hot flushes, fatigue, mood swings, sickness and still bled each time I had the injection. My symptoms were really bad and I had severe flare ups and cramping too and began giving up hope, but I do think it varies from each individual as it took my 4th one to see a bit of a difference plus my surgery is next week 🤞🏽.
I really hope this helps you I know it’s so hard but it will get better!
Aww thank you for replying! I think you're right and everyone had different symptoms. Its 6am and I havent slept a wink all night. Think this is the anxiety side of it, can randomly feel my heart beating and my feet feel really hot and burning. All or a sudden my whole body get tingly and I just can't settle. Luckily my pain has started to fade. Mood swings are still in full flow though eeek.
Wish u all the best with your surgery! Hope all goes well, keep us updated Xxx
