Hi all

Hi,
Yes I gained weight. 2.5 years and I gained over 5 stone! At first they denied it had anything to do with the injections but finally admitted it.
I came off the injections 6 months ago and so far have lost 5lbs . (Aganst ther advice) It is very slow but I have other health issues so my weight loss is being hindered by other autoimmune conditions.
I was told I need to get my bmi down to 36 currently 40. It isn't happening! I went private to see my bowel surgeon. He said weight doesn't matter and they would operate.
I have stage 4 and frozen pelvis.
So if you are gaining weight it is right and do pick up a conversation now. Don't let them fob you off.
Hi
I have a hospital appointment next Friday and more biopsies of my womb. I’ve lost 3st and now weight going up and down. Consultant said bmi 40 then changed it to a weight in kg to be at. Unfair as I am now at the bmi, in fact I’m below it. Seems all they do is fob you off. He also does the biopsy with no anaesthetic!!! Not looking forward to it 🙄 He also won’t say how long the waiting list is for a hysterectomy in my area. Best of luck with your operation.
Im actually disgusted with how big i am. Im very fed up. I am 16 weeks into a 72 week waiting list. Despite my psychologist and GP writing to have my surgery expediated im just told there are people waiting longer than me. As much as I feel for every women in this situation the level of disinterest is appalling. The impact on my health is profound.
Hi, personally the prostap injection caused me to gain weight but i believe its due to the autoimmune condition i have hashimotos which i developed whilst on prostap. Apparently its a very common condition/complication of prostap.
But also looking into changing ur diet which i know is mega difficult when we are unwell, but its an awful cycle of illness, and inflammation.
Histamine intolerance is also very common with endometriosis, so removing foods high in histamine, lactose, gluten may actually help with inflammation & water retention, a lot also follow a low fodmap diet which may help with the bloating i guess, but for me the bigger changes came from removing histamine triggers.
You may find a lot of the weight isnt actual fat gain but more water retention and inflammation, thats what i found anyway and lost weight very quickly.
Hope it helps somewhat xx
