this has happened over many years for myself however i am with a new doctor and prepping a list so i can get more tests done. But i’m just wondering regards to blood clots, i have rather large size between a 50p and a medium size grape blood clot, i can feel them passing through me on my period, and when i wipe also they are there. There is normal between 10-15 a day?
Is this normal for period for someone with endo? i have questioned it with a doctor before but i got brushed off, but this new doctors im not going to stop until i get set answers. But i understand everyone is different but wanting to see what peoples views are like because i have t been able to move with the pain today and every time i have tried to move i get a lovely blood clot long with the pain🤦🏽♀️😂
hope this makes sense, thank u and hope you are all ok x

Hi Ashleytt, Yes blood clots during your period are potentionally a sign of endo. I used to get them a lot during my periods before I started eating more healthily. I would get multiple sizes, some as large as you descibe throughout the day... particulary during the first 3 days of my period. I would also get flooding when it was particulary bad. Awful. I would definitely bring this up with the doctor.
No this is not “normal” but sadly something we have to endure with Endo! Good for you for being strong and determined enough to fight for help. Have you been referred to a gynaecologist? I too suffer like this sometimes being housebound because I can barely leave the bathroom and changing my entire clothes 5 times in one hour. I’m currently on Prostap and hrt having been on zoladex for 15 months. I take tranexamic acid but that only works whilst taking and you can only take it for four days. Currently bleed for 35 days with a 2-9 day break in between. Awaiting a hysterectomy now. Best of luck hope new doctor listens.
yeah i’ve been through the whole ‘process’ if that’s what they want to call it; even been private cause some days i’m in so much pain it scares me. They haven’t really done any tests thst i feel happy with, why i want to question it all with these new doctors.
I had prostap and honestly i felt so good like a new women😂 thank you for replying x
I also get large clots during my period. I’m not sure if they’re because of the endo or the fact I have a lot of large fibroids too. Not a great combination!
My clots have been been so big this week they’ve actually woken me up as I can feel them coming out. I had to change my underwear and pyjamas 3 times in one night.
It’s no joke at all. I’ve tried lots of different treatments but thanks to other health conditions there’s medications I can no longer take. So I’m on the mini pill now and that has definitely helped in making my periods less frequent, less painful and lighter. This week is a bad week because I was ill last week and I don’t think my body absorbed the pill properly.
Good luck with the new doctor, I know how difficult it is to be heard and understood. Make sure you get those answers!
yes I have large clots and I have adeno and endo. I can feel them coming out as when I stand up from sitting or lying down, they are in my knickers 🤮I took a photo of them to show my GP. Good luck with your new GP xx
yes , do keep pushing the Doctor. I used to get huge clots with my endo when I was younger. Don't let the GP fob you off. It may be normal for endo sufferers but it is certainly not a normal period. Best wishes.
