Endo and fibroid....

I was diagnosed with severe endo 8 months ago. We finally got referred for IVF and in a scan they have found a sub-mucosal fibroid which they say has to be removed before ivf. I am so upset that we got this far and now they have found a fibroid. Is anyone else feeling alone with all these diagnosis or is it just me?.....

I had fibroids and endo removed before my IVF. I even had another fibroid discovered around the time of one of my IVF cycles, and so had to have this removed and my embryos frozen before continuing. It's all pretty hard, having to go through all these ops, so I do empathise with you. I did eventually become pregnant, from the frozen cycle of IVF, and now have a 7 week old baby, so in my case things did turn out well. I wish you all the best - I know it's a hard journey with no guarantees, but by having the endo and fibroids treated, you are doing all you can to give yourself the best chance of pregnancy.

Hi UCHL have a team of consultants and doctors who work together. If you go on their website you will see their names - endometriosis centre UCHL. Are you with a BSGE registered endo centre? The bsge have a website - gov registered centres. Imp u are with one.
