I was having heart palpitations and chest pain for few days. 111 sent me to hosp I had blood tests, urine test, ECG, chest x ray, blood pressure and oxygen done 4 times. All results came up clear so they then put it down to the endometriosis might be badly inflammed and causing pains and strains elsewhere in the body and have put me on naproxen to get inflammation down and see how it goes in the next week. Has anyone else had this happen to them ? I'm so paranoid my chest still hurting and heart still fluttering but they said everything was fine x

Sounds like you may have thorcic endometriosis, as i do.
Mostly it feel like a tight/ heavy weight on my chest, which gets worse on exhersion .
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest.
I know it feels absolutly awful , and is definitly the worst symtoms i have, i also have shoulder tip pain , and at the back of my neck and and shooting spams up my right side of neck , when i deep breath or yawn.
Ive even had pins and needles in my jaw and right side of face.
Aparently, it could be due to endo on the diaphram.
I have this too, pounding heart and flutters, have previously had ECGs and all ok. I have elevated blood pressure. On medication for that. So unsure why I get this x
I have had this! I have been hospitalised with this twice as they thought it may have been a clot! Everything was all clear and both times they told me I was just having an anxiety attack. The third time I paid to go private and he said the same thing despite me saying I didn't feel stressed or anxious... I had no idea before joining this thread that endo could affect any of this!
Hi,I think I have something to add here. Was put on bisoprilol for ectopic heart beats while on the waiting list for what I thought was ovarian cyst removal. Went down for laparoscopy who found severe endometriosis. Still working out whether I need further surgery but he did drain a large endometrioma. Ever since the surgery, I have not had one single episode of ectopic beats. Still waiting to be seen by cardiology, but a big change for me.
Thankyou for your reply. So glad you got it sorted . For some reason the gynaecologist I saw refused me surgery and wanted to try me on different medications . They haven't bothered with me since and this was last February. I dont even know the extent of my endometriosis as they also wouldn't do an mri or anything . Very frustrating when we don't get heard x
Hi,
I had chest symptoms (feeling tight, palpitations and feeling a bit spaced) which i called 111 about but in the end i chose not to go to A&E as couldn't bear the horrendous waits when I had only just recently had surgery and wasn't very mobile or tolerate. They refused to send me an ambulance so must not of been that concerned!
I had put my symptoms down to a side effect of the strong cocodamol I was recently started on to help pain post surgery. My symptoms improved once I stopped taking them. I've been fine since.
Just thought it's worth saying that in case you have recently started / changed your medication or treatment and just a question of could it be that (not saying it is ofc as could be other things as others have said).
Hi, yes I’ve had exactly the same experience as you. I’ve not as yet got an exact answer as to what is going on, however since hitting perimenopause age range and doing research into that, it seems heart palpitations can happen with the fluctuations in hormone levels. I have had a 24hr ecg done 3 weeks ago but still not had the results. I keep getting the odd palpitations here and there but nothing as extreme as the original episode that like yours lasted over 24hrs.
hey, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this too. I know how incredibly scary they are. Mine vary from a racing heart beat and other times random heavy thumps. Find it really frightening?
Are you taking any iron and vit c supplements?ive been told a few times over the years that my iron levels are low, likely due to Endo. I find that after a few weeks of taking iron and vit c the heart palpitations subside.
Also have you had diaphragm checked for Endo? Know this is easier said that done with nhs how it is now. I’ve only just been diagnosed with it but it made a few symptoms I’ve always experienced add up.
Best wishes to you ❤️
Thankyou for your reply. Yes I already take iron tablets coz I bleed alot . Nope I've had no scans wat so ever . The gynaecologist refused to do any scans or surgeries just stuck me on meds and not bothered with me ever since so frustrating x
