Periods returning?

Hi.

I have been on 2 different GNRH analogues for 2.5 years ish. I have decided to come off the injections as I can no longer tolerate the side effects. Especially joint pains.

How long does it take for your periods to return?

Will they be as bad as before?

Thanks

that’s a long time to be on those medications, please do push for a dexa scan as GNRH analogues lead to osteoporosis when used for an extended period of time (over 6months). I am 36 and have osteoporosis and have suffered multiple fractures so please do push for a dexa to check your bone density to be on the safe side especially if suffering with joint pain xx

Hi.

Thank you. I had a dexa scan 12 months in. I am due another one. I do have a problem with my feet and ankles at the moment but as I have autoimmune diseases they think it is because my inflammation is high. (Lupus, RA and scleroderma).

Im so sorry to hear hear of your struggles. Hope you are ok. X
