Bleeding with HRT

I have recently gone back on decapeptyl injections after coming off of them for a few months. I had 4 injections last year but no HRT alongside them. I came off them because they really affected my mood and I bled heavy on them.

I saw a different consultant a few weeks ago who suggested to have an MRI to investigate possible endometriosis and then we would discuss surgery. Until then he wanted me to try the decapeptyl injections again but this time have HRT alongside them to help with my mood.

I had a 3 week long period about a month ago had a week where I was off then had another week long period, this is when I started the decapeptyl and HRT. I then had another week bleed free but now I have been bleeding heavy again, I am also extremely tired. I have a 1 year old but I am still sleeping through the night, I just wake exhausted. It's tiredness like I've never felt before.

Just wondering if anyone else has been on decapeptyl and HRT, how did you find it and has anyone had similar symptoms as mine, what was the cause, is it normal?

Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated. I see the consultant again in 3 months to discuss, well supposed to be, I haven't had an appointment yet.

if you take hrt alongside decapeptyl or any gnrh then you are meant to wait a few weeks for the initial oestrogen surge to subside otherwise the injections may not shut down the ovaries as expected.

With such heavy bleeding it could be you have adenomyosis and the injections don’t always help that. There isn’t enough research into them to know.
