good morning

does anyone experience lightning crotch pain with endo. I’m having an episode of it now and it’s so painful. I’ve taken 2 co-codamol 30/500mg. Any advice on how to deal this pain would be really helpful.

thanks

Yasmin

Hi Yasmin I have had this before and it was always worse when I sat down. The only thing that helped me was to stay on my feet. No medication helped either, just like you.

Sorry I can’t offer more advice as for me movement was the best thing x

hello,

Im not sure if it’s the same but I get intense butt pain. I posted the other day but no one said that they relate so perhaps it’s different?

If it is the same, I sit on a heating pad. It’s all that helps. Im practically bedridden for days I feel so sick with pain but don’t know what it is either. So I feel for you.

Wishing you the best.

Sorry I didn’t notice your post the other day. I also experience pain in my bum too. It’s not nice. I’ve read elsewhere it’s an acknowledged endo symptom and can sometimes relate to tissue near or at your bowel. Heat helps me too 🤞

thank you for replying. It’s awful, isn’t it? I hope you feel better and get pain relief.

I get that and it is hideously painful. It only lasts a short while each time but can go on all day. Nothing touches it painkiller wise. Do you have any bowel issues as turns out mine is linked to when I eat.

I get both the butt pains and crotch pains….and the heating pad is the only thing that helps me too

yes! Sounds horrible but I am so happy to see other people have experienced this.. i thought i was going mad. I had it before the Dr's even mentioned endo, and they kept having to take a look obviously not seeing anything and not having a clue what it was. It's so painful!

Yes, along with heavy periods, it’s one of my main symptoms. A heat pad helps me, worth a try 🤞

I have this around ovulation. It’s excruciating. The only thing I can do is rest preferably lying down as sitting hurts. Cocodamal is the only medication that will take edge of pain. I hope it goes soon. Luckily mine only usually last a few hours or a day at the most.
