Has anyone been able to get their gp to prescribe the Diclofenac suppositories? I was given them in a&e and they were amazing
I have bowel endometriosis and adenomyosis and all the other tablets I take are really messing with my stomach 😞

Hi yes I do, they should be ok to especially as you were given them at A&E. I don’t use them everyday but keep them available. They do work really well but your GP will want you to be careful because of possible ulcers.

Let us know how you get on, you shouldn’t have any problems. A&E gave me about a weeks worth.
Hi, yes I was an inpatient and had them, the hospital sent me home with some, I spoke with my GP and they were happy to prescribe them, should be the same protocol for you, fingers crossed you get them, they are really good aren't they 😊 xxx
Hi. Yes, I used the diclofenac suppositories for some time. They were quicker acting than anything else for me. However, I eventually started to get breathing problems whilst taking them, so had to stop. You will need to take care of your stomach whilst using them. I ended up relying on the orodispersible form of tramadol for pain relief. It's worth looking up any medications that your doctor might prescribe to protect your stomach, as some of these medications aren't meant to be used long term. Maybe check out things like probiotics and bicarb to help alongside? Hope you get the pain relief you need soon x
Yes! A trip to A&E with pain and discharged from Gynecology with no pain meds!!! Anyway, GP just prescribed me them and been able to have them for 2 years. On a horrific day I have 3. Otherwise I don’t use unless I absolutely can’t function.

In 2006/7I used to have the tablet with a phentonyl patch 🙄❤️🩹💁🏻♀️waiting for my laparoscopy with a 4cm x 2cm endometrioma - niiiccce! 🙄😭
I always keep a stash at home incase they say I can’t have them….
Yes I got them prescribed after my consultant asked for me to be put on them. I used to use them frequently but less so now I’m on prostap which has lessened my more severe pains. I’ve got stage 4 endo, adenomyosis and endo on bowel. Waiting for surgery now almost 2 years. Hope you get sorted! Other things that help me are the Bauer tens machine that heats up too. Let me know how you get on and if you manage to get them off your GP.
