Ovary fused to womb

Hi.

My latest ultrasound has shown that the above has happened on my right ovary. I've been having a heavy feeling on my right hand side for some time however the pain intensified joined by a twisting sensation last week resulting in a trip to the hospital where they referred Me for my scan.

After seeing the gynae and him telling me that my ovary has fused to womb he mentioned no more about it, whether this was normal or not.

What can do to help the pain. I'm getting tingles down my leg and some times painful shooting pains, down my bum right into my leg. Difficulty turning over at night and just generally hurting.

I'm currently on cocodomol, Zoladex and mini pill.

Thanks all xx

Hi

They might be thinking in your on zoladex so that should help with the pain. You really need to push for further action. Tell them it is interfering with your day to day life.

They have explained the pain but what else can they do? Endometriosis comes back. Is it back?

Are you with an Endometriosis specialist or standard Gynecologist?

Wish you all the best. 💜

I believe I'm with a standard Gynae, I've been on Zoladex for 12 months but due to my age they won't co sider a hysterectomy. My Dr has told me to cut out diary as this produces estrogen and can feed the Endo and wants me to come of Zoladex and go dienogest tablets now. Just feel like I'm being pumped with tables instead of getting rid of the core issues. Sorry Bout my whinging, I'm just tired and fed up of being in pain again 🫣❤️ xx

Hi, you not winging at all. Its hard especially when you are in constant pain.

How old are you?

If ask your GP to refer you to a BSGE - they are endometriosis specialist centres.

I know the feeling with tablets... you can always ask for a second opinion. 💜

I'm 34 with 2 children. One 16 and one 14. Ohhh can my consultant refer me or would it have to be GP xx

Your consultant may refer you. You might need to have a conversation.

I went back to my GP and said I wanted a second opinion. I had done research and told him where I wanted to go. Im in Manchester so there was an accredited centre that I got referred to and feel like I have received much better care.

I can understand the reluctance to give you a hysterectomy at 34. As soon as I hit 40 they agreed even though like you I had completed my family.

This is a good website, I learnt alot from there.

Hi I know this is an old post but my ultrasound showed both ovaries not mobile. Was this due to endo for you?

Hi, it was due to Endo. I have since had the Endo removed! And my ovary placed back to where it should be xx

Glad you've now had the endo removed. Was this due to adhesions? Where else was endo found for you? Xx

Yeah,. It was on liver, bowel, uterus, pelvis wall, ovary and cervix. Xx

Oh not good. Did you have bowel adhesion too? As my bowel is attached to uterus apparently as well. Hope they removed it all for you? Xx

There was Endo on my bowels but thankfully it hadn't stuck to my womb. He managed to remove it all from what I believe and have a few stitches in my bowels. Have they said about a Laparoscopy or anything to you? Xx

Glad they removed it all for you. Had a lap in Nov last year and endo was seen but not removed as it was a gynae that did my lap then had mri Feb this year and it stated left ovary attached to uterus and bowel attached to uterus then had a ultrasound and both ovaries wasn't mobile and left ovary was in pouch of dogulas. On wait list for excision but unsure if endo has caused my adhesions as I didn't have adhesions in last lap x
