Just wondering if anyone has experience of and knows whether it will be a permanent fixture of life with Endo.I had my Endo surgery about 1 1/2 years ago, they had to remove a lot and part of my bowel and vagina. I've seen the x-ray of where the stitches were and it's not pretty! So I've been apprehensive about having penetrative sex since. Also I used to have painful sex before and bleeding.
I had my smear last year and that triggered my period to come early.
Anyway I finally had sex and the same thing seems to have happened at first there was some spotting but then full on period so now I'm wondering if this is what's going to happen every time I have sex or is it just that it was the first time post op? And my period wasn't due yet.
If anyone has experienced anything similar please share, not sure when I'll next see my Endo gynae.
Thanks

I have not had surgery. But I can tell you my sex therapist said on no uncertain terms sex and using dialators (part of my own issue) does not bring on a period.
Which is ridiculous that neither of us has answers. I bled everytime I had sex, and exactly 6 weeks into my depo injection when they wouldn't give me it 11 weeks. And I would have a blood for days like a period ( and pain) after using dialators. I'm sorry I have no answers for you, but I hope you get sorted and this gives you something to compare. I should also may be say although I've got no stitches, I sustained a vaginal injury from someone incase tearing/wounds is anything you would like to compare. If you ever get a straight I'll be happy for you.
Thanks for replying! That's helpful to know! I did think it wasn't my period as it doesn't feel like one and the bleeding has subsided a lot very quickly. I'm guessing it was in fact Endo / scar tissue related and something I need to work on/ look into. Thanks again!
