should I get laparoscopy?

I have a 4 cm cyst on my left ovary and have been ttc for more than 2 years with no luck! Ivf cycle failed. Should I get cyst removed? Will this improve my chances of getting pregnant?

Sorry to hear that Ash. I have also just found out I have a 3.1cm cyst on my ovary. I'm starting ivf next month and was told by my clinic to go ahead with the cycle as if I get referred to have the cyst removed, they will possibly removed some ovary/follicles

Im not sure if this is the correct advice or not . Does your clinic seem to think this affected the outcome if your failed cycles?

my ivf clinic is saying not to remove as it will further reduce my amh. They are also saying that I only have 25% chance of success. Really don’t know what to do as we will have to pay for our next cycle and that is a lot of money. Just want to improve our chances of success

this is the same as me at the moment,

My consultant said crack on with ivf first but it’s up to me when I want the surgery as mines a big one .

He said any cyst at 7cm above should be removed for ivf c

my first round my cycle got cancelled in sep so very disappointing, just made my cyst grow which I was fuming about .

Got my next appointment tomorow , I only have 1 ovary no one has discussed changes or anything with me .

I have complained via online texts you get as they say there’s no waiting list yet I feel like I’m always waiting for a then there’s no urgency with it .

Iv got 2 on the nhs.

What protocol did you do ?

They tried me on the long one .

I wish you all the luck 🍀 as well as me xx

They said that 90% reason of failure was due to embryo quality but they can’t say if it was the quality of the sperm or egg. I have read online that the cyst on the ovary can affect the quality of the egg. So I’m wondering if I get it removed will it increase my chances
