How soon after stopping Zoladex, prostap etc did you get your period ? And how soon after stopping did you stop using HRT?

How soon after coming off injection can I expect to get a period? Also wondering at what point did you stop HRT ?

Hi Amber83,

I think this can vary quite a lot from person to person, but in my case, I had my last zoladex injection on the 9th of august, and by the middle of October I had my first period. I think I stopped my hrt not long after my last injection, maybe a couple of weeks, but my consultant just said to finish the pack I was on at the time.

Hi KIP28,

Unfortunately, my first period was the same as all my others - terrible. However, I’ve only had the 1 period since coming off the injections and hrt as I’m now back on the pill, which I take continuously without a break.

I have stage 4 endo affecting my bowel and bladder, so my symptoms are very severe. Everyone’s body is different, so try not to worry. Perhaps talk to your consultant/gp if you’re concerned, don’t suffer in silence x

Hi Well it took mine ages, last zoladex at the start of the august and then didn't get a period until the middle of the following January, the one after that wasn't until April. I was on zoladex for 2 and half years.

hi, thanks for asking this question. I’m in the same position. Had my last Prostap injection December 17th. My consultant said to continue with hrt for 4 weeks after last injection & then stop.

How have u been feeling? I stopped the HRT and I feel so crap, hot flushes all night waking me up. X

hi. I was taking two Tibolone (HRT) tablets a day. So weened down to 1 a day for a few weeks & now off it. Had a few hot flushes but nothing too bad. Been suffering with headaches & migraines. Not sure whether that’s linked to stopping Prostap & HRT 🤷‍♀️.
