No. I’ll be honest I was glad it was over and I could rebuild myself.

I had hope that I’d be able to conceive, but that didn’t quite work out for me.

I think it depends on what your objective is.

Okay thanks yes all I want is to feel better and get my life back to normality. Do they tell you what happened during your surgery and what was removed if anything? I also have Adenomyosis and cysts 😢

Yes they do. They should at least give you a brief on what happened when you wake up and then explain in more detail either by letter or a further appointment at a later date and tell you how it went.

Sometimes they even show you pictures of what they have done, I personally wouldn’t ask to see these but if you have a strong stomach and inquisitive mind you may like to.

All the very best, it’s not as bad as you may think and within a few weeks your almost back to normal xx

Is this your first laparoscopy? I have had two and the first one I felt tired and a bit emotional but more happy that they had actually found endometriosis. But after the second one where it was excised I think the general anaesthetic made me very emotional as for two weeks I struggled and felt very depressed. Just remember that your body is going through a lot and you will feel more yourself once you have recovered. I hope the op goes well for you.

Yes it’s my first one eeeck which is why I seem to have lots of questions. They said due to me having Adenomyosis too they would maybe need another surgeon in too (bowel), guess I am feeling nervous as I know my op will be this year now x

Don’t be too nervous, it’s great that you are at this stage and hopefully will be on the way to being pain free soon. Do as much research as you can so that you understand about endo and what will be happening during your surgery and afterwards. My main piece of advice for after surgery is try to relax as much as possible and move. I learnt from my first surgery that just relaxing and moving slowly as soon as I could really helped my recovery. Nothing to strenuous obviously but try not to stay curled up all day every day! I have my fingers crossed that it goes well for you.

Thanks:) I will research on what’s happens although I sometimes think it’s best not to know as I have found some gruesome pics online already. Hope you are well at the moment 💕x

My first I was okay, I think relieved I had a diagnosis. My second one actually hit me quite hard for lots of various reasons but I learnt to talk to friends and family and that really helped. Wishing you a speech recovery x

Hey, I struggled for about a week because I was bored and couldn’t do much. I’m normally very active and even just walking upstairs tired me out after my lap.

I got back into my normal routine a bit too early but 3 weeks on and I’m a lot better. I was more upset over my bellybutton as it looks weird due to the stitches 😂 xx

Think it will be lots of daytime tv for me :) I am also an active person so will probably be bored like you were x

Yeah, I binged watched shows on Netflix haha. Just don’t go back to normal activities until you’re definitely ready as I tried yoga the other day and it hurt 😂 xx

Hi there.

I hope everything goes well for you. My first lap and second lap I was ok emotionally, but my most recent one really hit me hard emotionally. As we are all so different, you may be fine, but like you say it's good to be prepared just in case it happens. The anaesthetic can really interfere with your emotions and make you feel very groggy for a couple of weeks. My third lap was very close after my second, so it could be that I was still recovering from that and it hit me harder than normal. I really hope you get the treatment you need. Make sure they are going to excise (cut out) not just laser the endo away as lasering is not as effective.

Keep us updated.

xx
