Endo flare up after miscarriage

Hi, I was diagnosed with endo last year after being severely unwell for 13 years. After trying for three years I fell pregnant but miscarriage a month ago at 9 weeks. I’m on my first period since and it is so bad. So heavy and severely painful. Did anyone else experience this? Did it get better?? It is so depressing and debilitating. I feel so glad to have found this page. Thank you xx

So sorry to hear of your loss and the ongoing pain. Hormones are likely still at sea with the sudden drops and shift and in my experience take a while to really settle and come away from flaring. I also had an undiagnosed infection which made me very ill that was left far too long before medics finally took note to treat it. That caused a lot of physical pain so would always caution keeping tabs on that. The stress and grief only loads the mix and aggravates the hormone seesaw. At the time I found it hard to process the grief amid caring for my small son and looking back being gentler on myself would have been a better road. Hope you are able to take the time to cherish yourself x
