I have an appointment tomorrow which will involve scans more then literally internal but of course I have started bleeding today 😢
I have been waiting for this appointment since March and it’s the first time in over a year I will have seen an endo specialist.
The hospital is a 2 hour car drive away so I go anyway and risk them saying they can’t do anything 🤷♀️
They dont normally care if you are bleeding but l would ring and check x
I have had scans when bleeding x
just let the sonographer know. They will be able to do the examination. I think we worry more about it 😳.

still go! With endo they expect you to be bleeding. They will still do what they can do.

Hi,
my last ultrasound was about 2 weeks ago. I was about the 3rd day into menstruation. I'd prior told the sonographer as I was a bit embarassed and was just told they are used to seeing everything! It doesnt affect the scan.
In some respects during a flare up they may have a better probability of finding lesions when it is all a bit more active/ inflammed.

Hi, thanks for all the replies 😊 after all my stress and worry they cancelled my appointment last night 😩 been cancelled till the 3rd November now the second time this appointment has been cancelled 😞
Hi recently had an internal scan when I was bleeding and they still did it, it has no effect on the scan at all, because I asked the consultant who did my second one and she said it has no effect. They put down something on the bed to catch anything so I really wouldn't worry. Hope it all goes well sending a hug too ❤️
