Recently had a ultra sound & Transvaginal Scan, reading from my results it suggested that it may be a endometrial polyp and Towards the fundus of the endometrium there is a hypoechoic area measuring 6.3 mm.
Does anyone know any Information on them? Never really heard much about it until now, is there anything I need to know or ask my doctor when they call back?

I was told I had a small polyp a few months ago on an ultrasound. This page summarises them well

They are overgrowths of endometrial lining ( normally benign) but their presence can cause pain ( the uterus may contract to try and expell causing cramping) and other symptoms. They are definitively diagnosed by hysteroscopy whereby a scope goes via the cervix into the uterus to directly visualise. The polyp is removed and sent to histopathology to confirm.
How big is the polyp?? In my case the polyp one sonographer found couldnt be seen again. I had hysteroscopy at the same time as a diagnostic laporoscopy ( to rule in or out endo- found stage 3-4 endo and removed adhesions ). There was no polyp! But the uterus was large and adenomyosis was suspected and cofirmed with a recent mri.
Do you know how big the polyp is? Are they planning on rescan or hysteroscopy?
The hypoechoic area have they discussed what this may be ( or did you mean hyperechoic and this area is the suspected polyp?) ? I'd ask specifically could this be adenomyosis ( where endometresiosis is within the uterine muscle wall)? Or what their main differential is and what tests they will do to diagnose.
