bloating!

hello,

so I had a laparoscopy and cyst removal just under a week ago, and my bloating of awful! No trapped wind, but tummy is so big and swollen. Just wondering how long this is supposed to last for and if there is anything I can do to help it go down? Tried peppermint tea which works with trapped wind but not bloating so far.

Thank you!

Hi Ruby, that big tummy is probably from the gas they use during the operation, plus internal swelling.

Don’t forget you’ve just had major surgery so your body needs time to recover. I still felt like an overturned tortoise for around 2-3 weeks but we’re all different with how we recover.

unfortunately there isnt much you can do as its probably from the gas they pump you with during surgery, just take it easy and hopefully it will ease soon x
