I just wanted to ask I am 2 weeks post suregery for endometriosis stage 4.
The gynaecologist placed me on zoladex for the next three months and HRT tablets to give my ovaries a rest. However, over the weekend had had cramping and my period started even though it is not due for another two weeks. Is this normal and had anyone else experienced this?

It's normal to have a period 1-2 weeks after the injections. You can also have spotting and bleeding mid cycle with it, or your periods can stop completely. My period was very very heavy but not as painful, and now I'm having spotting around what would normally be my ovulation window. If you're at all worried please reach out to your gynae nurse, there should be a number you can call on the outpatient appointment letter for the injections xxx
I don’t think you should be worried. I am on triptorelin injections, a similar gnrh drug to Zoladex. I had my 5th 2 weeks ago and after the first one I had two bleeding episodes two weeks apart in first month but after that my period completely stopped, not even spotting. Apparently this is normal functionality of these injections.
I had my surgery around 3rd injection and need to continue on for 9 month. I had spotting after surgery for little while but that was for that and no period and no more spotting since then.
I haven’t started the add back therapy yet though and my Doctor wants me to have them only during the last three month of my injections term.
So bcuz you started hrt ( same as add back) I guess you may have some spottings in between as well but to be on the safe side its better asking your doctor as every case might be different.
Did doc tell you to take hrt pills continuously or stop in between like birth control pills?
I wish everything go great for you and get a great results from your treatment.
