I just wanted to ask if anyone gets pain during ovulation? I never used to until I had my son 18 months ago but it seems to be the last 4/5 months where it has got quite bad.
Iām not using protection because we are tying for our second child/ first child was conceived with ivf, I only have one tube due to an ectopic and with endo Iām not holding onto much hope but I thought we should still try. Normally I can bare the pain when ovulating but not at the moment. Itās like a ripping sensation and my partner just wants to stop as he knows Iām in pain. He canāt ejaculate when Iām in pain so I feel itās a pointless exercise (sorry for TMI) Iāve tried different positions but itās just so so tender. I seem to get more pain when ovulating than I do on my period. But Iām so grateful my periods are less painful š since having my son. Also I seem to be quite gasy when ovulating so Iām wondering if this is adding to the pain.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks all xxx

I'm exactly the same as you. Ovulation is awful, i also suffer with ibs symptoms too. My ovulation pain can be worse than my period.Do you have Adenomyosis too? X
Yes I agree my ovulation seems to be worse than my period now. I wondering if itās because everything has moved round since having my son. No Iāve not got adenomyosis just endometriosis round my ovaries, on my bowel and my pelvis. Xxx
Hi, the reason I never suspected I had Endo, because Iāve never had a painful period in my life! Iām advanced! Stage 5 advanced! I did however pass blood clots from my kidneys and roll around throwing up and passing out at times that werenāt my period!
So anyway, a simple cycle chart will explain as to why!
Ovulation is peak estrogen! When your estrogen levels top out!
The gas is your body trying to rid it!
Up to ovulation you need to eat a lot of fibre and drink plenty of water!
It's good that you do express the symptoms for others to compare and understand. I have also found that the time I am ovulating can be worse that a period and is usually the time it affects my legs, bowel, concentration and feeling of sickness. The pain goes from one side to the other. I know when this is going to happen so in a way you can prepare yourself and make sure painkillers are available and baths help the fatigue. Thankyou for sharing and good luck
I had my daughter 15 months ago and havenāt used any contraception. I havenāt got confirmed endo but just at the beginning of tests etc. I get terrible ovulation pain, itās so much worse since I had the baby. So gassy and bloated as well. I donāt have any advice sorry but just wanted you to feel you werenāt alone. Iāve had to go on contraception because I canāt cope with the pain any longer.
Iāve just started a completely gluten free diet to see if this helps too
